Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 July 2026
AgView360 ("we", "us", the "App") is operated by AgView360 Innovations Studio Private Limited, Plot 28, 32-77-32/3, 1st Floor, Devi Nagar, Ramakrishna Puram, Hyderabad, Telangana, India 500056. This policy applies to the AgView360 mobile application and any associated web platform operated by us (together, the "App"), and explains what personal data we collect, why, how it is used and shared, and the rights you have under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules made thereunder. It complements Google Play's Data safety disclosure.
1. Data we collect
| Data | Why we collect it |
|---|---|
| Name and mobile phone number | To create and secure your account and identify you. |
| Account-recovery security question & answer | To let you reset access. The answer is stored only as a salted hash, never in plain text. |
| Approximate and precise location (GPS) | To locate your land parcels and fetch soil, weather and mandi data for them. Collected only while you are actively adding or using a parcel in the App; we do not collect location in the background or when the App is closed. |
| Photos you capture or upload (crop/leaf images) | To run disease and pest diagnosis on the image. |
| Farm data (parcels, crops, soil inputs, advisory history, produce listings) | To provide advisories and the marketplace features you use. |
| Device push token | To deliver in-app and push notifications (alerts) you have enabled. |
| Subscription & purchase status (from Google Play) | To grant and manage your subscription, whether farmer Premium or the buyer plan. Google Play processes the payment; we do not receive or store your card, bank or UPI details. |
Location and camera access are requested through your device's operating-system permission prompts. You may decline or later withdraw these permissions in your device settings; doing so may limit features such as parcel mapping or image-based diagnosis, but will not affect your ability to use the rest of the App.
2. Our basis for processing your data
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent, which we obtain when you sign up, when your device prompts you to grant a permission (such as location or camera), or when you otherwise choose to use a feature that requires specific data. Where permitted under the DPDP Act, we may also process limited data for "legitimate uses" without separate consent — for example, to respond to a request you have made, for security and fraud prevention, or to comply with law.
You may withdraw your consent at any time from Profile → Privacy Settings, or by writing to our Grievance Officer. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out before withdrawal, and may mean we can no longer provide certain features (for example, parcel-based advisories without location data). Withdrawing consent is separate from, and does not require, deleting your account.
3. How we use your data
- To provide the App's features: crop and irrigation advice, disease/pest diagnosis, mandi prices, produce listings, and alerts.
- To operate, secure and improve the service.
- To send you notifications you have opted into (you can turn these off in the app).
- To meet legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. Who we share it with
- Our AI inference service — crop/soil/image data is sent to our own model service to produce advisories. It is not shared onward.
- Cloud storage (Amazon Web Services, India region) — images you upload are stored on our private cloud storage to display your advisory history.
- Google Play — processes your subscription payment as merchant of record.
- Public data providers — we query government/open sources (e.g. Agmarknet mandi prices, NASA POWER and Google weather, SoilGrids) using your parcel's coordinates; we do not send them your name or phone.
- Other farmers/buyers on the App — if you publish a marketplace listing, the produce details and a way to contact you are shown to other users by design. Do not include information you don't want made visible.
- Legal — where required by law or valid legal process.
5. Cross-border data transfers
Your farm images and account data are stored on servers located in India (AWS India region). Certain processing — for example, calls made by our AI inference service to underlying model providers — may involve transferring data to servers located outside India. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure the data is protected consistently with this policy, and such transfers are made only to the extent currently permitted under the DPDP Act.
6. Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we disable it immediately and permanently erase your personal data — including name, phone number, security answer, photos, and farm data — within 15 days, save for records we are legally required to retain for a longer period (for example, transaction records for tax purposes). We do not retain identifiable data beyond this window under the label of "anonymisation" unless the data has been irreversibly stripped of all identifiers.
7. Data breach notification
If we become aware of a personal data breach that is likely to affect you, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and affected users as required under the DPDP Act, and take reasonable steps to contain and remedy the breach without undue delay.
8. Your rights (DPDP Act)
- Access & portability — download a copy of your data from the app (Profile → Data Export).
- Correction — edit your profile and farm data in the app.
- Erasure — delete your account from the app (Profile → Delete Account).
- Withdraw consent — manage or withdraw consent for specific processing at any time (Profile → Privacy Settings) without deleting your account.
- Grievance redressal — contact our Grievance Officer (Section 11) with any concern.
9. Children
The App is intended for use only by individuals aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18 as defined under the DPDP Act. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided us with personal data without verifiable parental consent, we will take steps to delete that data and disable the associated account.
10. Security
Passwords and security answers are stored hashed; data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect your data.
11. Grievance Officer
As required by the DPDP Act and the Information Technology Rules, you may contact our
Grievance Officer with any complaint or concern. We will acknowledge your complaint
within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within 15 days of receipt.

12. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time; material changes will be notified within the App. Continued use of the App after such notice means you accept the revised policy.
